>The Melvins
– King Buzzo [Reissue/1992] 12”+MP3 (Boner)
– Dale Crover [Reissue/1992] 12”+MP3 (Boner)
– Joe Preston [Reissue/1992] 12”+MP3 (Boner)
“In 1992 the Melvins’ fascination/adoration/denigration of the mighty Kiss rock & roll universe compelled them to excrete three solo masterworks inspired by the Kiss solo LPs. The first in the series is King Buzzo, from the Melvins’ giggling guitar grumpus. Four songs of atmospheric clanging and rockin’ banging. Also features the many talents, drumming and otherwise, of a famous Grunge™ superstar, whose name sort of rhymes with New Wave Asshole. The second in the series is Dale Crover, from the Melvins’ sleepy drum caveman. Four songs of gloomy heaviness, with Dale doin’ the drummin’, singin’, guitarin’, and dancin’. The third in the series is Joe Preston, from the Melvins’ electronic beard warlord. Three songs of fuzz bass computer drone temper tantrum. All three 12”s reissued on vinyl after 100,000 years out of print.”

>Parquet Courts – Captive Of The Sun 12” (Rough Trade)
When Parquet Courts made their second television appearance supporting 2016’s brilliant
Human Performance LP, they were joined on Late Night with Stephen Colbert by a very special surprise guest, rapper Bun B (of UGK), who added a verse to the album’s percussive, lyrically-dense “Captive of the Sun.” What fans of both artists may not know, is that Bun B, a huge fan of Parquet Courts (whose Austin Brown, a Houston rap acolyte, is himself a Bun B and UGK superfan), already had a studio version of the track featuring his guest verse in the works. This brilliant meeting of the minds is now available on a club-ready 12”, with a B-side featuring the track as remixed by two more legendary Houstonians, DJ Candlestick & OG Ron C, whose “Chopped Not Slopped” edition brings plenty of purple codeine haze to the party.

>The Believers
– Memo From Otter LP (Feeding Tube)
“The Believers were, in many ways, the flagship band of the Apostasy Recordings empire. Their roots were in the Hampshire College-based experimental outfit, Son Of Earth – Flesh In Bone Trio (generally shortened to Son Of Earth), via Matt Krefting and John Shaw. Also on board were Anna Klein (player with many woefully under-documented ensembles) and Jessie Swenson, Esq. (who was associated with various Scott Foust projects, and would go on to 50 Foot Women). But much of this other work was abstract weirdo-ism. The Believers were, more or less, a rock band, and they kinda f**king ruled.” – Byron Coley

>Epic Soundtracks
– Change My Life [1996] LP (Mapache)
First-time vinyl pressing. A masterclass of songwriting at a difficult time for songwriters, here again we have Epic’s amazing piano ballads, following a similar path to that of his heroes John Cale, David Bowie, Alex Chilton and Brian Wilson.

>The Golden Filter
– Still // Alone 2xLP (Optimo Music)
An album about being in love with pure solitude,
Still // Alone is separated into two distinct records. Record one, Still, is a hypnotic meditation for the nightclub. Wavy patterns of sound and light bounce off of Penelope's literary vocal bursts, layered over the ominous deep synths and arpeggiators, held together only by a strict 4/4 beat -- the rhythm, ironically forcing the body to move, however internally focused and mindful, still. Record two, Alone, takes the club offline and into the fringes of raw, odd pop. Ever-prominent drum machine beats rule, while love and loss permeate the four atmospheric goth songs.
– Here In After [Reissue/1995] LP (Metal Blade)
Immolation – Failures For Gods [Reissue/1999] LP (Metal Blade)

– Wavering Radiant [Reissue/2009] 2xLP (Robotic Empire)
Limited edition clear with yellow splatter vinyl repress. The music of Isis is a suitable metaphor for their twelve-year career: patient, meticulous, fraught with tension and gradually building toward an apex of seismic proportions. They have successfully navigated the process of growing and evolving without disavowing their initial vision. On
Wavering Radiant every component of this armory comes into equal play -- an audiophile's dream: grandiose without over-indulgence, epic without compromised focus. This is their fifth and final full-length album, last released by Ipecac Recordings in 2009.
– Trap Or Die 3 2xLP (Def Jam)

>Jim And The French Vanilla
– Afraid Of The House LP (Dirtnap)
Jim And The French Vanilla is the solo project of Jim Blaha from The Blind Shake. Raw, feral, but incredibly catchy,
Afraid Of The House covers a wider sonic pallet than one might pick up on at first. From poppy to heavy, from atmospheric to wild, it reflects a wide range of ideas and emotion, while maintaining surprising consistence throughout.
– Dark Lotus 12” (Planet Mu)
Jlin returns with the first fruits of her new work since last year’s
Free Fall EP. Dark Lotus is a transition between Dark Energy, her debut album, and her forthcoming Black Origami full-length. A-side “The Escape Of The Blvck Rxbbit (ft. Avril Stormy Unger)” is the more traditional of the two tracks, starting off proceedings with a constantly switching rhythmic structure and a stop-start sweeping hoover stab panning between the speakers, descending bleeps and Avril's vocals cut into shapes and pushed through effects. “Nyakinyua Rise” races headlong into uncharted territory, with a fierce barrage of djembe drums over pounding bass, punchy war cries and jubilant ululations that paint a tension between hot aggression and weightless ecstasy.
>Johnny Teardrop
– No Problemo LP+MP3 (Rouge Mecanique Musique)
No Problemo is Jonny Teardrop's first physical album release. Inspired by Native American peyote songs, Jonny uses his Jaguar as a bass, drum samples from obscure Japanese crust punk songs, and charges through 13 brief songs, snapping audible Polaroids and conjuring fragments of memories.

- Music To Draw To: Satellite 2xLP (Arts & Crafts)
Recently released on CD – now available on vinyl. An uncharted journey for the legendary scratch DJ, producer, and composer, Kid Koala’s fifth studio album is an emotional work of expansive instrumental soundscapes and chilling vocal ballads. A record of many firsts for Eric San, the inaugural volume in the
Music To Draw To series finds Kid Koala collaborating with a singer, writing lyrics, and producing and performing all instruments. Satellite is the renowned audio-collagist’s first non-sample-based record, using an array of synthesizers, keys, guitars, basses, strings, turntables, noisemakers, and inventive recording techniques to create its celestial atmosphere. Written during the gelid Montreal winter, Music To Draw To: Satellite tells a heartrending tale of discovery and loss through the lens of lovers separated by a one-way space mission to Mars. The album’s eighteen spacious movements are threaded with eight lyrical songs written by Kid Koala in collaboration with Icelandic singer Emilíana Torrini.

Un Uomo Da Rispettare translates to “A Man to Respect,” which can easily be said of Ennio Morricone himself—the unparalleled maestro of the soundtrack. This 1972 crime film stars Kirk Douglas as a master safecracker at a crossroads in his life, emerging from prison yet tempted by one last big job. This first-time vinyl reissue is recommended for fans of Krzysztof Penderecki, Harry Partch and Sun City Girls.

>The Other People Place
– Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café [Reissue/2001] 2xLP (Warp)
The much sought-after LP from Drexciya’s James Stinson has been hard to come by for many years, but is back in print on vinyl. “It's hard to sum up in words just how important
Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café truly is. Originally released back in 2001 as part of the Drexciyan off-shoot Storm Series, Lifestyles was one of the various projects of one-half of deep sea electro pioneers Drexciya, James Stinson. Shrouded in mystery, the two members of Drexciya took the blueprint laid out by the pioneers of the hypnotic groove, Kraftwerk and gave it a truly electro feel -- cold, yet funky. Where Drexciya's sound was focused in the deepest corners of the ocean, James's work as The Other People Place was a solo project that turned its gaze elsewhere, most notably in the direction of love.” -- Bleep
– Bye Bye Berta LP (Wharf Cat)
In an industry that favors niche branding and subgenre packaging, Palberta is a difficult band to place. Their music is free and uninhibited in a way that makes it all their own. Often, Palberta songs are marked with a child-like communication—chants and lullabies are met with snarling tantrums, while their instruments coo and careen towards an abrupt finish. Their playful approach to writing produces work that is hyper-emotional—as jarring as it is soothing and as loopy as it is sinister.

>Parkway Drive
– Horizons LP+MP3 (Epitaph)
The metalcore band’s best-selling album -- available for the first time on vinyl.

– Greatest Hits II [Reissue/1991] 2xLP (Hollywood)

Recorded live in Munich in 1982 using two Prophet synthesizers and voice, Songs For The Ten Voices Of The Two Prophets is a reflection of Riley's ongoing interest in melding improvisation, electronic music, and the raga vocal stylings of his mentor, Pandit Pran Nath.

>Ultimate Spinach
– Behold & See [Reissue/1968] LP (Sundazed)
The Spinach's self-titled debut album is now considered a psychedelic classic, but it's the group's second record,
Behold & See, that is perhaps their finest achievement. Ostensibly a concept album, it’s centered around lead singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist Ian Bruce-Douglas' cynical worldview. He skewers "normal" society with all the fervor of Zappa and all the surreality (and insanity) of Bob Markley on songs like "Visions Of Your Reality" and the four-part "Suite: Genesis of Beauty." Add in the lush, floating vocals of Barbara Jean Hudson, fuzz guitar and some great late- ‘60s psych jangle and you've got the formula for an unhinged classic that stands up to the best of the non-coastal psych sounds of the late- ‘60s. Mono mix. Spinach color vinyl.
>Colin Vallon / Patrice Moret / Julian Sartorius
– Danse LP (ECM)
Recently released on CD – now available on vinyl. The Colin Vallon Trio has found its own space in the crowded world of the piano trio by quietly challenging its conventions. An unusual blend of '60s garage-punk, Texas psychedelia (think 13th Floor Elevators or Golden Dawn), The Seeds, The Misunderstood, late era Velvet Underground, '70s era Rolling Stones and '70s pre-punk swagger.

Fourth album from Toronto electro-pop darlings. “At the very end, “Future Ghost” shows off a darker side, almost reaching the weird intensity of a Nite Jewel or Zola Jesus number. “Miracle Fortress is getting some serious blog-love these days from such esteemed hot spots as My Old Kentucky Blog, and for good reason. I'm really digging anything that has a distinct Brian Wilson influence these days, so this is right up our alley” (Gorilla Vs Bear, April, 2007). “Miracle Fortress just completely knocked me upside the head with a handful of great songs. The band is pretty much just Graham Van Pelt's (Think About Life) solo project. He combines beautiful melodies and great hooks with instrumentation that ranges from sparse to downright curious” (You Ain't No Picasso).

>Soft Machine
– Live At The Paradiso LP (Real Gone Music)
Soft Machine was one of the first prog-rock bands, but if your vision of prog-rock consists of musicians wreathed in pot smoke airily singing of fairies and wizards, it will be summarily dispelled by this fantastic “authorized bootleg,” which captures the band in March 1969 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, playing material that was to be released six months later on
Soft Machine: Volume Two. Limited “soft purple” color pressing.]

– A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat LP (Sony)
Recently released on CD – now available on vinyl.
A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat is Train's first album without lead guitarist and founding member Jimmy Stafford. Although he is not on the new album, he is currently still partially involved with the band, as he continues to play with them at some live performances and events. It marks the band's first new music since their 2014 album Bulletproof Picasso. The album’s first single "Play That Song" borrows the central melody from the 1938 single "Heart And Soul" by Howard Hoagland "Hoagy" Carmichael.
– Half-Mute LP (Crammed Disc)
“At no less than 36 years of age, the warped synths and humming basslines of
Half-Mute by Tuxedomoon return to the fore on vinyl with Crammed Discs. The experimental new-wavers from San Fran helped kick off the 1970s punk rock revolution, and this offering is largely responsible for establishing the outfit's cult status.” – Norman UK
– Fake Train LP (Numero)
After the Pacific Northwest grunge raids of the early '90s that saw Nirvana, Mudhoney, and even the Melvins hoisted up the major label flagpole, Unwound's 1993 debut came as a welcomed reprieve for underground noise-niks everywhere. A pulsing cluster of wiry feedback, lurching bass, and single stroke rolls,
Fake Train entangles the energies of frustrated backpack emo, faded Riot Grrrl back issues, and their own dash of teen spirit and unleashes it all in an earsplitting 10-song assault. "Comes on like an homage to Wire's ‘1 2 X U’ as filtered through Minor Threat and a broken bottle of Robitussin" (Pitchfork). "It's no contest: Unwound is the best band of the '90s" (A.V. Club).
